Using the Yoga Bananas Technique the course incorporates all the elements of traditional Hatha Yoga in an inspiring and structured way. It helps young adults nurture a positive image of themselves and others, and teaches that Yoga is a science of both the body and the mind.
The classes aim to maintain and improve student’s natural flexibility. There are many poses that the students can explore, all of which increase their physical and mental strength, stamina and poise.
Many poses work on improving the immune system’s function, and stimulating the nervous system as they directly target the lymphatic drainage points in the body and the spine. The results is healthy adolescents, less susceptible to colds and other ailments.
The classes aim to improve student’s brain function. The emphasis on the breath not only increases the level of oxygen flowing through the body but persuades the mind to occupy a present-moment state, giving each student the opportunity to experience a less fractured and more fulfilling approach to learning and socialising.
The classes also aim to spark student’s interest and respect for the characteristics and traits of others through empathy exercises, such as partner work and technique that draw attention to the correlation between how another person is uniquely animated through their action and words.
This course is open to all genders, from age 12. Limited spaces.
