When you do this, your immune system decreases its ability to fight against sickness and you can become more prone to disease and infection. A lack of fat, protein and carbs can still harm your body immensely, even though you may be losing weight. 3. An increase in weight
When you skip a meal your body goes into survival mode, when this happens your body craves more at your next meal which makes you eat more than you should. In return, your body stores more fat to be used at a later date and because of this process you can gain more weight. Even though you may not be eating totally unhealthy, this can still happen to your body.
