Golf is a very popular sport worldwide. It is a game played on a large outdoor course, the object being to propel a small hard ball into a series of ‘holes’ with as few strokes as possible, using a variety of wood or iron-tipped sticks or ‘golf clubs’.

3. Richmond Park Golf Club
Richmond Park is the best place to golf for breathtaking views of London’s flora and fauna. With two 18-hole courses amidst the park’s expansive 2,500 acres, it is not uncommon to see hundreds of tree and plant species with just a glance or to pass a herd of deer.

4. Duke Meadows Golf
Duke Meadows is the ideal location for improving one’s golf game. Its nine-hole course allows for a quick game while fine-tuning technique along the way. A short-game practice area, putting green and 50-bay driving range are also features for practice.

5. Trent Park
Trent Park Golf Course is the most accessible golf course in all of London. Only 20 minutes from central London, many golfers use the Underground for transportation as Trent Park is just off the Oakwood station on the Piccadilly Line.

6. Shooters Hill
Located near Canary Wharf, Greenwich, Shooters Hill provides golfers stunning views of the North Kent countryside while playing 18 holes of golf year-around.
One of the oldest golf courses in London, golf was first played at Shooters Hill in 1903 when the course included just nine holes. The 18-hole course opened in 1907.

9. Silvermere Golf
Silvermere offers an 18-hole golf course formerly used as a qualifying course for the European tour, making it one of the most challenging places to play in London.
A pay and play course, golfers of all abilities and ages can test their skills on this tough course. The placement of two holes across Silvermere Lake in addition to other water obstacles provides a unique but picturesque challenge to golfers.

10. Banstead Downs
Banstead Downs Golf Club is a situated on the Surrey and South London border. The course is a par 71 measuring nearly 6,600 yards. Fast draining downland fairways ensure that the course stays playable throughout the year when many other courses are closed.
As well as catering for the needs of golfers, the clubhouse has a large bar, dining room and function rooms making it an ideal venue for weddings or other functions. 11. Burhill Golf Club
Established in 1907 Burhill Golf Club is one of the finest golf venues in Surrey. 12. Coombe Wood Golf Club
Coombe Wood Golf Club, one of the friendliest clubs in Surrey, is only nine miles from central London yet offers peace and tranquillity and stunning views over the Surrey Downs.
The course, one the exclusive Coombe Estate near Kingston upon Thames, was conceived by Prince George, Duke of Cambridge, and his two younger sons. It opened for play as a nine-hole layout in 1904, expanding to 18 holes in 1922.
