1. The North Face Endurance Challenge California
Taking place in the stunning Marin Headlands, the course engages runners with scenic views & sharp elevation changes.
2. New Zealand Ocean Swim Series Harbour Crossing
A 2.9km swim across Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour, for individuals with swimming experience.
3. Honolulu Marathon
Began in 1973 & averages about 25,000 runners every year. Entry is open to everyone & there are no qualifying standards, fixed limits on number of runners or time limit to finish.
4. World Snowboard Day Sipapu
WSD is about discovery of snowboarding as a sport & global culture, spanning the world’s summits.
5. International Festival of the Sahara
Since 1967, the festival has become internationally known among the oldest & most prestigious festivals in the world.
6. Whale Watching Oregon Coast
In winter nearly 20,000 gray whales pass by from mid-December to mid-January traveling south to the warm waters of Baja Mexico.
7. New Years One Day
Each lap is 1.065 miles around the lagoon at Crissy Field, with views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, Alcatraz & the San Francisco Bay. It’s a flat course, 60% dirt & 40% asphalt.
