Theodore Roosevelt National Park
North Dakota, USA
Theodore Roosevelt came to hunt bison in the Dakota Territory during 1883. At the time he was a skinny, young, bespectacled man from New York. He could not have imagined how his adventure in this remote place would alter the course of the nation. The rugged landscape & strenuous life that Roosevelt experienced here helped shape a conservation policy that benefits us today.
All National Parks offer free admission on the following dates in 2017:
August 25 for National Park Service Birthday
