For 35 years RAAM has been challenging cyclists from around the world to push their limits to the farthest reaches. Starting in Oceanside California, RAAM spans 3000 miles, climbs 175,000 feet, crosses 12 states & finishes in Annapolis, Maryland.
The route travels west to east, over three major mountain ranges (Sierra, Rocky & Appalachian), crosses four of the longest rivers in the US (Colorado, Mississippi, Missouri & Ohio) as well as the Great Plains.
Open to amateur & professional racers, in solo, 2-, 4- & 8-person relay teams, The Race has become a global icon. RAAM is one of the most challenging races in the world & has become a platform for racers to raise awareness/ money for charity. Racers have raised over $2 million per year for the past 5 years.
