26 December 12:00-15:00
The tradition of rolling big wooden barrels in a relay race on the Coton Road before lunch on Boxing Day was recently revived. It has also been very popular. Teams compete (usually four to a team) to roll empty barrels as quick as possible. All without injuring spectators who risk life & limb to scream encouragement from behind a wall of straw bales. All are welcome to enjoy an hour of charity-funding mayhem, followed by liquid refreshment in one of the local pubs. Races start at 12pm on 26th December.
